Cinderella 2011
Conejo Civic Ballet Company's new Cinderella 2011 production was performed Friday, May 20, 2011 at 7:30pm and Saturday May 21, 2011 at 2:30pm in the Scherr Forum Theatre, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Sergei Prokofiev's score for Cinderella was composed in the first half of the 1940's. The premiere performance was in 1945 at the Bolshoi Theater. It is therefore fitting that CCBC's premiere production of Cinderella was choreographed and staged by two of our faculty members, Enton Hoxha and Maria Tihomirova, who were trained at the Bolshoi Academy. This production of Cinderella was entertaining for the audience and, for the dancers, was rich in character roles and interesting dance sequences.
